Lacquered coasters, 'Bouquets' (set for 6)

Delicate petals form bright floral bouquets on coasters by Nantana Sompamitre. She crafts them of rain tree wood, including an elegant pagoda shaped storage box. An excellent example of traditional Thai lacquer work, the hand-carved wood is coated with as many twenty coats of lacquer. The motifs are painted with fine brushes.
